Reading & Craft workshop in collaboration with Spilt Milk!

In aid of World Book Day 2023, I collaborated with 'Spilt Milk' to deliver a children's reading and crafts workshop for Soho House UK. We held the creative children's workshop at Little House Balham, where we took over the snug area for a few hours on Saturday 4th March '23.

Spilt Milk is a platform created for families where children and parents can attend creative sessions such as parenting brunches and children's activity workshops. Since hearing about the platform and the work that they are doing to support families, it was a no brainer for us to work together.

It was lovely to see all of our special little guests fully immerse themselves into the activities of the day, as well as the story of From Root to Shoot! After the reading and Q&A session, we provided children with the opportunity to create their own family tree.

I had so much fun reading to all of the children and answering their questions. It was great to see the little ones having so much fun meeting new children and sharing ideas in this beautiful creative setting.

It's always touching to write personal messages to readers when signing copies of 'From Root to Shoot'. I always offer this personal touch for book purchases.

If you would like a signed copy, place an order on the website and complete the 'written message section' on the order page.

We had great feedback from both parents and children at the event, be sure to follow our instagram pages for details on attending future workshops! @spiltmilk_1 and @fromroottoshoot
