Elisha Ricketts is a 32 year old Client Account Manager who grew up in and around South London. She is of mixed race heritage with both Jamaican and English parents. Elisha has always been creative and writing has always been a passion of hers. Over the years her writing skills have penned poetry, song lyrics from her singing and MC'ing experience as well as content writing for a women's magazine. Writing and publishing a children's story was always a dream and passion project that Elisha wanted to work on and the representation of multicultural families was always something that she wanted to portray, as growing up in the early 90's there wasn't a great deal of ethnic representation within children's books. Elisha recognises the importance of children seeing themselves represented throughout their journey from childhood to adulthood, as well as wider communities welcoming and being accustomed to seeing multicultural stories on bookshelves.
